What to do?

Well ladies and gentlemen, this morning I had a Doctor's appointment at 0800, out by 0900. Great, lot's of time on my hands before I have to meet the wife! It's Kimber shopping time! I have two shops within 25 miles that usually stock a significant numbers of Kimbers. I am holding out (I think) for a Kimber Sapphire Pro (9MM). I know what your thinking, "another one for the safe"! Neither shop had one, God was I disappointed. Had to purchase something so I picked up 2 Kimber .45 magazines. At least I didn't come home empty handed!

If'n I bought one.I would like to give it to my wife. She don't have a Kimber.
And hasn't shot one.
Know she would like it.
Bet it shoots Sweet.
And it would be impossible to buy one and not shoot it.

I'm not a big fan! No offense just not what I like. Looks to me to be getting a little "Busy" and almost borderline "Gaudy". I like the outline on the slide and the little scrolls in the corners of the outline but when all the colors start coming into play, and then the "special edition" writing, different colors on the grips too, everything to me starts to clash, doesn't flow very well. Just my 2 cents, and I'm the guy that likes the all black, stealth modern, tactical, polymer framed guns. I do like a full sized 5" barrel "All Stainless" with just back and front serrations and maybe some black G-10 grips.

No offence at all Brother, what a boring word this would be if we where all the same. I didn't like the gun at first either thought it was too flashy, but I grew on me. I like the black guns a lot with wood grips, and stainless. love the metal guns, don't really like the plastic ones. Lets face it we are all different and that's a good thing . Reminds me of a song, I like big butts I cant not lie lol. Me I like the small ones..... lol Have a great day brother

I'm also a fan of black guns that's why the Kimber Onyx is high on my wish list.

Now that's not too bad ! Not over the top and overly done, I wonder how it would have looked with a little less shine on top of the slide kinda to match the grips so you wouldn't get too much glare out in the sun and keep the high polish on the sides of the slide.

Well, I didn't like the Sapphire's at first either. But the more I looked at them the more it grew on me. I love my Sapphire Ultra and Sapphire Pro they are both sweet shooting pistols.
The Onyx is the same theme just in Black! I like it also and I am not going to say I won't buy an Onyx some time.
If I was not going to shoot them I wouldn't buy them. I shoot them not abuse them, you won't see any of my firearms just thrown in the back of the truck.
