Lt. Joe Kenda , homicide hunter and Kimber

As a former cop I often watch police and crime tv shows.
The other day I was watching Homicide Hunter and Joe Kenda said he carried a KIMBER .45 Stainless. He said it was the most accurate pistol he has ever used. Thought that was interesting.

Ever notice in the intro, when he puts it into his shoulder holster, that the thumb safety's in the off position? Oops! BTW, he's a Southpaw.

Homicide Hunter is one of my favorite shows, I'd watch it even if he carried a plastic gun.

I've watched that show since it first came on. Still watch it during the daytime in the gunroom while I'm prepping cases. (Former LEO also.)

I noticed long ago that he carried a Kimber, then saw the intro that the OP noticed saying he loves his Kimber and how accurate it is.

Just goes to show we all have good taste! Oh my!

It's Joe Kenda for Christs sake... He doesn't need a thumb safety....

I don't know that show, must be a cable thing? Sounds interesting....

A now retired LEO myself, most police shows are so bad I can hardly stand to watch them (Hawaii 5-0 comes immediately to mind) but there are still some good ones, like Blue Bloods. Even Blue Bloods has a bad habit of pointing guns at each other and having long conversations....NOT! Even my wife says "Boom boom boom!"

Yep, it's on ID, or Investigative Discovery, which I believe is indeed a cable channel. It's a sister channel of The Discovery Channel.

Kenda, formerly of the Colorado Spgs PD is noted for solving 384 homicides during his career there. The show is a series of 'docu-dramas' re-enacting many of his arrests and the stories leading up to them. Pretty interesting and mostly well done. (Besides, he's a Kimber shooter, right? )

I like him. Shows are good, realistic, poor Joe can't catch a break have any time with his wife, take a bite of his dinner, lay his head on his pillow without the phone ringing. lol
