Range Report: Compact Stainless II

Finally got out to the range today with my new compact stainless II. Absolutely loved it! 175 rounds through it, ZERO issues!!!! Ran both the factory mag and two kim-pro mags. Put 100 rounds of Remington brass and 75 rounds of Federal aluminum. I think it helped that this forum exist, and the info on what to do with a new Kimber prior to shooting the first time. So thank you!
Two conclusions I came up with today after shooting (other than the obvious that I now own a kick ass awesome gun ) is that I am replacing the factory sights in the very near future with some tru-glo and second I do better with less thinking. I was shooting 2-3" groups at 7 yds. but all 4'' left until I started running in program mode with 1 second intervals, which pulled me back into center mass. And I know, it's worthless without pics, but I was sharing the lane and couldn't/forgot to get some pics right after shooting at a fresh target.

Nice! The Compact Stainless II is the only Kimber I own (for now) and I love it as well. It's in my EDC rotation for good reason.....reliability and accuracy. I have the factory sights on mine right now and will do the same as you are and put some good night sights on it eventually.

Congrats!

Great.... Nothing better than a good day at the range with a new gun with zero problems.

By chance, did you shoot any JHP ?

Everything today was ball ammo. Next range trip will include some JHP.

Funny side story to today. When downstairs to clean the gun up after shooting today and my wife makes the comment "seems like a lot of work if you have to do that every time." So being the smart ass I am, I just replied, "consider it some extra fondling after play time."
Oh it gets better though. So she comes back with "well, I feel like I'm intruding on you and your apparent girlfriend, would you like me to leave?"
Me: "No, just the opposite. It's kind of like a 3 some now honey, thanks!"

Dancing close to the flames of destruction. Oh, my.

You may never get to purchase another gun. You may want to consider some snuggle time, real soon. And I'm not talking about your Kimber.

I will definitely post a report with JHP.

As far as dancing near the flame, it's warranted. She did get a new kitchen this past week, so I'm a few guns short compared to that budget!

Wink Sounds Good!!

That was a great outing to the range. We like to hear reports like that!! No issues makes you grin form ear to ear and builds confidence in your skills and your firearms reliability.

Give me a HELL YEAH!!
