What is the cheapest gun you would own to trust your life with.

Just wondering what different types of inexpensive gun (under $400) you would trust your life with. Mine would be the Taurus Gen 2 111. This is a gun that I have to do a lot of practice with because of the long trigger pull. But the gun has not had one falter and it feels great in my hand. I spent $260 on this gun. I now see Cabelas will have them on sale now and then for $199. Just wonder what other kind of inexpensive guns you would have.

I have one of those and it works well. Another that I would consider is the S&W SD9 VE. Works very well also.

Have the Taurus G2 and the pt709 both under $200. G2 at 700 flawless rounds, PT709 couple thousand flawless rounds. Any day of the week.

Being from CA we'll have to double your budget to keep it fair.

Sell that Shield while your still there cuz after you escape it'll only be worth about $250 in a free state.

Taurus

I have carried a Taurus .357 for a long time. absolutely have loved it. Just went to a micro .380. whoa... I "think" im gonna like it... maybe...
I absolutely trust the .357 it's a revolver, not much to go wrong. shoots as straight as I can hold it, fires EVERY time. I'm trying to turn the corner with my new micro .380... time will tell

I have a little tiny pocket Kahr CW380 that I paid $212 for. Giving it a careful break-in and finding ammo it likes, I am getting comfortable carrying it when "high concealment" is needed. Interestingly enough, with the Magguts spring kits, I have 15 carry rounds between the pistol and an extra extended mag.
