Good question, you'd think that a Wilson, NH, Brown would work but why not just get a replacement from Kimber. They are only around $10.
Personally I change any of my full length guide rods out for the GI short guide rod, it just personnel prefrance nothing wrong with a FLGR. I just like the shorty with the plug. If going that route any of them will work.

Does it make the gun more accurate or easier to take down.

Easier to take down, you would have to be a hell of a good shot to get any accuracy advantage with a FLGR. Some say the added wieght of a FLGR helps with follow up shots.

Don't make the mistake I made by ordering a cool looking spring plug only to discover it requires the hole for the FLGR. Personally, I see no advantage to replacing the stock plug if you intend to keep the FLGR. I switched over to the WC flat spring kit on my 5" and added the closed (black) spring plug. It's real easy to take down, without any tools. Functions perfectly.

Aren't they all the same? Can you post a link or two that shows some being different then others?
