Difficulty With Slide Stop Reassemble

Doing good with the new Master Carry Pro except reinstalling the slide stop against the frame. Is there any tips? Seem to struggle with it.

Have you watched any YouTube videos on reassembly? It's a bit tricky in the beginning, you have to line that half moon notch up just right and then it's sort of push-up/push-in to pop it in there. It's annoying as hell in the beginning until you get it. My new Nighthawk is the worst, the notch is barely visible and when I finally get it in I'm thinking...hmmm, how did I do that?

I use a Remington bore light (any one will do) to align the slide cutout notch with the slide stop tip. Works for me. And I'm clumsy.

I've had some guns where the detent plunger sticks out far, and is hard to push in with the slide stop. In those circumstances, I get out my chopstick, push the plunger in, and then gently push the slide stop into place.

Thanks for all the reply’s, did watch the u tube twice, alignment is dead on, issue seems to be with plunger. Thinking it will be easier the more I do it just wanted to confirm not missing something.

I always use a credit card or guitar pick laid flat against the frame to avoid scratching it when pushing the slide stop in.

To add to Wingnuts post, you can use the guitar pick against the detent plunger to hold it back while inserting the slide stop...
