Age question

I'm sitting here at my desk watching the snow fall & started wondering how old all of you were when you got your first gun - either as a purchase or as a gift.

Leave a comment about what make/model it was & if you still have it.

I was eight years old and it was a .22 Ithica rifle. Wish I still had it!

I think I was about 12/13 when daddy gave me a Ithaca Model 37 pump shot gun 12 ga. for Christmas. Killed a lot of squirrels and rabbits with that gun. Wish I still had it but it and several other good guns were stolen from our house when I was in high school.

My Uncle bought me a Winchester model 250 22 lever action and I wish that I still had it.

Why heck.....I thought it was real guns. I voted already but my Dad bought me a Daisy BB rifle from my cousin Butch when I was 5 years old. I still have it.....stored in a secure place. I was allowed to carry it around(loaded) after I was 8 years old and never once shot anyone. We just knew back then not to do that. Where the heck did common sense go to?

I did not consider a BB gun when I voted. Purchased a Mauser 30-06 when I was 19.

As far as BB guns go, I suppose I was 8 or 10 when I was given a single cock BB rifle and shortly after that received a BB/.177 pellet pistol.

Okay, I didn't know BB guns counted. I got mine around 7 or 8. I was shooting before that though and took my first hunter safety course at age 10. I still have the certificate.
