Production date of my Kimber

Hey y'all
I recently picked up my new Kimber and wanted to know when it was produced. As far as I have found out, Kimber has no E-Mail support on their site. As I am living overseas calling them is not an option. Is there any possibility to find out the production date via Serial no.? If anyone could provide me with a tech mail adress, I would be really happy!
Another thing: I recognized the Kimber markings on my TLE are in the front of the frame. The pictures of TLE's show them in near the grips on the right side. When did Kimber changed that?

Thanks a lot guys!

Wink Oh Yeah!!!

First of all Philipp, I really like the "Hey Ya'll" on that last post!!! If anyone asks about it, just tell them you are from SOUTH Germany!!

As for you request about info on your particular firearm. Try either of these addresses:

Sales & Service
Kimber Mfg. Inc.
30 Lower Valley Road
Kalispell, MT 59901
(888) 243-4522 ext 4381

Corporate Office
Kimber Mfg. Inc.
555 Taxter Road, Suite 235
Elmsford, NY 10523

If they can't answer your inquiry, I'm sure that they will direct you to someone that can obtain the information that you are looking for!! Hope this works for you. Good luck and update us as to what you find out.

Auf Wiedersehen

Hey Lineman, if Adamant was to PM you the serial number of his Kimber and you called Kimber for him (since he is in Germany) would they give you any information they have? Then you would be able to relay info to him. Just a thought.

It can be done, I just did it last week with a Kimber that someone was selling, I wanted more info on it, so I wrote down serial number and called. It was painless.

I believe the change in the placement of the ser.# happened around 2013.
I bought a new Desert Warrior in 2012, it had the old placement near the grips.
In 2014 I bought a slightly used SCPHD, it has the new placement also my new Warrior SOC late 14 has the new placement.

This would be okay with me if Adamant doesn't mind sending me a PM with the serial number of his pistol. I would be more than happy to call Kimber and relay the information back to him.

If that is okay with you, Philipp, you can just send me a PM with the serial number of your pistol and I'll take care of the rest. I'll check into the markings on the slide also.

Kein Problem! Gern geschehen! (Getting more practice!)
