I'm Ba-ack

Hello to all,
I am the real Newbie who bought his first Kimber about 6 months ago, after spending all my shooting time with a Glock 20(10mm). I have been so pleased with the accuracy of my Ultra+CDPII that I am bidding on a full sized Stainless Gold match.
Is there anything that I should know about this particular gun. Like, it tends to blow up in one's hand,or shoots the shooter in the face?
I know that I can never go back to Glocks. But I will say that my little .45 is MUCH louder than my old Glock 10mm.
Cheers,
Bill
P.S. And remember, please, that alcohol and guns do not mix well. I know this from being a witness to other's stupidity.

Wink Welcome Back Bill!!

It has been a while since we heard from you!! Glad to have you back.

Now about that Stainless Gold Match that you are thinking about....... I have not owned one of those, but I did have a Custom Stainless II. That is the basic version of the Gold Match. That was the most accurate pistol that I have ever had the pleasure of pulling the trigger on. I know that it sounds silly, but the only way I can describe it is very simply; it could shoot better than I could!! It made me look good!!

I used it as a concealed carry pistol as well as for competition. I did IDPA and bowling pin matches with it. It left high scores and dead bowling pins in it's wake. I would recommend a CS2 any day of the week!! The Gold Match is an even more refined version of the same pistol. Better sights and a better trigger. Well worth the cost if you want a competition pistol. If broken in by the book, it should be a real shooter!!!

Keep us updated when you pick it up. Pictures and a range report are a must!! And again, nice to have ya back, Bill!! I agree with you; alcohol and gun powder do not mix!!

Wildbill, welcome back my friend! I don't own a Stainless Gold Match but it should be a really fine shooter and make a fine addition to your Kimber family.
You have missed a lot of gun buying going on up in here!

Angry

Hi,
Everyone,
I took so long to respond because I had much trouble re-setting my password. I do not think that I am stupid, but many of the stupid fail to recognize the truth.
As of just a couple of minutes ago, I "WON" the SS kimber. I only bid on auctions with LAYAWAY programs, because I am a poo-boy. So I do not know when I will actually get the gun. I do know that I will NOT sell my Ultra+ to pay for the new gun. I have an inherited .444 rifle that I have never fired. I may sell that one. I am not a hunter. The only game in NYC are squirrels and rats.
Speaking of squirrels, It is OK to shoot them while drinking beer. As long as there are no humans around to piss you off. I would not shoot squirrels in Central Park. A sober man knows not what he will do while drunk and angry.

Hoffbrew,
Would not a Marlin .444 be ideal for squirrel shooting? You could send the bullet right up their little butt, then make squirrel jerky. .444 and beer. Perfect combo for squirrel hunting.

Teto,
That was my point. My last post was a bit sarcastic. I don't need to worry about it. No alcohol, pot, tranquilizers, nada !
