I think JC45 nailed it, you have to ask yourself what you want the gun for. I have everything from Micro to 5" 1911's and think the Pro size is the best all around gun Kimber makes.

I’m surprised that nobody has suggested the obvious. Buy them both!! Let’s face it, while he doesn’t know it yet we all know he’s going to end up with them both anyway, Kimbers are like potato chips.

Welcome to the forum from middle Georgia. I second what 2sharp2 said. I noticed right away when I came here a few weeks ago that dang near everyone has multiple Kimbers listed in their signature blocks. Go ahead and buy one and start shooting, and at the same time start saving up for the next one!
