Cold Drill #2

This is a tough one that can be humbling.

Three USPSA targets. 10, 15 and 20 yards from shooting position. From the shooting position the targets should appear to be 1 yard apart shoulder to shoulder.

Drill is shot in 5 strings of 3 shots each string.

On the buzzer/beep, draw and fire one round to the head of each target. A/B of the head scores as a hit. Any other hit or a complete miss is +5 seconds.

Shoot all five strings and add the times of each 5 strings. Add the missed head shots times 5 to get the total score.

It's a Virginia count drill so no extra or make up shots. High round accountability!
Fun fun.

No and I think I would have to have it hosted to post it. Don't know much about that. My time was 25.36 first shots of the day. Dropped one head shot and picked up a penalty. Dang

Second run was clean at 22.66. But it meant to be a cold drill so that doesn't matter!

Another tough one I do all the time is 5 staggered and numbered targets 8x11 plain white paper. Goal is center mass shooting stagger targets from 2 yards to 7 yards. Close your eyes while someone places the numbered targets. Two mags, 6 and 4 rounds. When the whistle goes off double tap center mass in order 1 to 5 (remember these are mixed up) 6 seconds or less is the goal.

Y'all have more fun at the range. Most of us just have one stationary target to try to 'bullseye'. I do not know of any ranges in our area that let us draw and shoot.

In addition to not being allowed to draw and fire we can't rapid fire, shoot at more then one or target double tap.

The range I shoot at you can actually train. Punching holes in a stationary target would get old real quick unlelss that's all you got.
