Crimson Trace issues...

I have 3 different gun with CT's Lasers on them. Seem to be replacing batteries often... I'm on 3rd set of batteries in less than a year. one may have me leaving it on, but the other time I know switch was off..
What kind of time frame should they last on average time for anyone else?

Not that the battery cost or the time to change them, but what if your depending on them? Yes I shoot sights, but also with the laser....

Call Crimson... Batteries are free for a lifetime. Mention that they are dying fast too.

Agree with calling crimson trace, batteries are free. I have several and mine have lasted for a couple years.

There lifetime battery deal is pretty good - I get about two years out of a set but could stretch it to three - Best thing is to change them every year at New Years then you don't forget - I started this route a year ago.

I have 4 pistols with CT grips, never had to replace any of the batteries because they were dead. Last Oct I needed some stuff from CT so I called sent the things I needed and 3 sets of batteries.

I leave them turned on all the time, even in the safe. It is my understanding that having the switch "on" does Not drain the battery.
Only when the laser is on uses the battery.
That's what I've found. Your mileage may vary.

Thanks! Guess Im calling Crimson Trace. But 3 Laser and only 1 has not had a issue yet!!
My Micro 9CT is on its 3rd set, my S&W M&P 40 is on 3rd set but this time found a battery had leaked a very tiny bit. Cleaned it up fine and put new ones in....At least I'll recoup the batteries!!

I change the batteries in my CT grips once a year. Not because they re dead but because I'm afraid they might leak. I go to CT's web site and request my batteries through the contact page. This month I received free batteries for 5 weapons. I also asked for and received cleaning wands.

There are two switches for the CT grips. Both must be on to drain the batteries. Normal life of batteries as advertised is about 4 hours on time.

BTW - the fleabay place has excellent prices for batteries and usually free shipping.
