Update on the hold hand thing

Well, I don't have to have surgery but, I have severe osteoarthritis in both hands. My trigger finger on my hand hand is the worst and there really is not a thing they can do for it. I am going to physical therapy for about 3 weeks, I just have to keep using it as much as I can take, Tylenol arthritis, use the cream I have been and live my life.

On the new 9mm front, I went and handled several Kimber's Two-tone, Ultra and then some Micro 9mm. The Ultra was to heavy and would be hard for me to conceal. The Micro's are just a tad heavier than my Raptor and would not make that much difference. I did figure out with my hand that I can stay on target with a heavier firearm, but cannot conceal one that is too heavy.

Has anyone seen the new EVO or heard anything about them? The reason is they are just about the right weight. I would probably not get one right away and see what happens since they just came out or are coming in 2019. They would have to get " the bugs" out.

Sorry about your arthritis; I've got it in my right thumb. Absolutely no surgery.

No surgery is a good thing. Arthritis is an evil mistress. For now mine is more in my wrists than hands and fingers. If I fire a lot of magnum anything and or +P ammo I feel it.

No surgery is good. Take care. I have not seen the new evo but I would like to put my hands on one.

Please look into Mark Sisson's blog for osteo... Since I quit eating wheat, my (hip) arthritis is GONE! Now, on those occasions when I DO eat wheat (bread or pasta) the arthritis come back within an hour and settles in for about a week; then the inflammation dies down and it goes away. (100% away!) (My carpal tunnel also slams back into place (little shards of glass in my wrist! ); but it only last a couple hours!)

Example:
https://www.marksdailyapple.com/arthritis-diet/
"Osteoarthritis is Not Your Destiny" (lots of ref links in the original)

Consider glucosamine supplements: Art Ayers had an interesting take on glucosamine. Rather than it providing the raw material for cartilage production as it’s commonly assumed, glucosamine actually binds to free transglutaminase 2 (TG2). TG2 is a well-known marker for osteoarthritis severity, and it often binds with gluten, resulting in the formation of pro-inflammatory antibodies. If glucosamine binds with TG2, less TG2 is available to bind with more inflammatory compounds.

Another option is to drink bone broth on a regular basis and gnaw on the articular endpoints of animal bones.

Thanks everyone!

Wrists are fine and the fingers are working well at this time, but as I get older I am really worried about my right index. So I will do the exercise they tell me and just work the hands as much as I can.

I am for sure going to keep an eye out for the EVO and if anyone does get their hands on one i would be interested on feedback.

According to Kimbers website the EVO is about 3 oz heavier then the Micro 9 and also note that it's a "striker fired" action.

It sounds and looks a little like a reclone of the dreaded Solo!
