Ed Brown EVO Series KC9

I just got in my 9mm Aegis Ultra and love it. I've been making a switch from striker fired pistols to 1911's.

I was surfing and ran into the Ed Brown EVO series of pistols. I really like the KC9 and for $1895 it is within, barely, my budget. Has anyone seen these and what is your opinion? They are pretty new and the order time is between 60 & 120 days. If you have looked at them, let me know what you think please.

Really nice looking 1911. Ed Brown makes quality 1911s. I can’t imagine this 1911 is garbage. Looking forward to your range report.lol

JC,
Thanks for your opinion and that was mine also. I love that fluted bull barrel, the grips, & just about everything. I really like the fact that you can get it with or without an ambi safety which I prefer non ambi.

I filled out the order form I just haven't added my CC number yet. I'm waiting for my arm to be twisted, just a little.

When I first saw them I thought WOW, at last and Ed Brown is in my price range then I read the fine print and saw it didn't come in .45.

If you're a fan of the 9mm then I say go for it, you won't be sorry.

I knew I heard my name being spoken....Nah, JC shot me a text and told me that a new guy needed coercing on a purchase of an Ed Brown.

I looked the EVO up and damn that's a purdy shooter. Now which one will he be choosing first ? The stainless is bad ass, but the blued model makes my speakers go "boom boom" for some reason.

Seriously, what's not to like ?......Get your derriere on the www, enter your cc number and click the "buy now" button.

Thank you guys a bunch.

Do ya'll think because of the price it will still have the Ed Brown quality? I sure do like the looks of them and I'm like you, I can't see Ed Brown putting out trash. They have too good of reputation to uphold I believe. Thanks again,

Since I haven't seen or handled one this is just a WAG. I think it's a quality gun without the hand fitting that would go into one of Ed's custom built guns.

I don't think Ed Brown would put out a sub-par gun and take a chance with losing their reputation.

It's still hand built and not coming off of a production line like many 1911's.

Mr. Marshall,

I can see why now that they call upon you when someone needs their arm twisted. You pulled mine out of the socket.

Chuck43,

Somewhere on that sight it says eventually they will be making variations once they get orders filled. I bet they will make some variation in 45 but who knows when or if so.
