Anyone use Gun Butter oil ?

I read in this forum the recommendations for using FP 10 oil on Kimber pistols and I ordered 2 bottles. While I was looking I ran across Gun Butter oil and ordered a bottle with the needle spout. It just looked like it would be easy to get in hard places to put just one drop.

I plan on the FP10 to be my main oil for the rails and over all but is the Gun Butter oil any good? I'll have plenty of other uses if not.

While your here, I've got all kinds of bore cleaners that I used in my BR rifles but on pistols I generally just use Hoppe's #9. What's your opinions on a bore cleaner and do you use a metal or nylon brush in your Kimber barrels?

Thanks for your time,

Jim D

I use Hoppe’s #9 with FP-10. I buy plastic bottles with a needle spout for the FP-10. I don’t use a brush every cleaning but when I do I use a bronze bore brush.

These aren’t the exact bottles I buy but very similar. eBay also sells them.

Exactly what JC45 said, Hoppe's #9, brass brush, FP-10 in a needle oiler. The only exception is on my EDC I use Brian Enos Slide Glide on the rails.

I purchased a drip oiler from Amazon. Then one day while at a fabric store with my wife I discovered they carried oilers to maintain sewing machines. It works great for me. I even use one for the cleaning solvent as well.

I'm different than most, #9 for barrel bore, BreakFree CLP for everything else.

I hear FP10 is also good stuff.

Oh, yes sir, that's why I said I'd have many other uses like pocket knives, fishing reels, etc.
Thanks,
