Hero Custom not Popular?

My only Kimber is a Hero Custom II. I don't see much said about this model here on the forum, is it not a popular model? I have 1,000+ rounds through mine without a hiccup. It shoots anything I put in it (even LSWC). I'm very happy with it and was wondering if any of you guys had one. Next time I go to the range I will post some pics.

I'm sure it's a fine pistol, 1,000+ trouble free rounds. For me the problem was I wanted something easy to conceal, so full size would not work for me and the other thing was I'm not a big fan of the Desert Tan frame color.
I kind of have a thing for Ultra's so if it had been Ultra size I'd probably own one already.

I believe most people see them as a safe queen. I asked a LGS to order me one the day after they were released, I'm still waiting for to come in LOL. After waiting about months and asking about it a dozen times I gave up. I also don't give that shop my business any more. I'll get one when I go to store and they have it in stock.

I use mine for EDC. Only because I don't have a smaller 1911.

.
I was somewhat disappointed in the frame color. The desert tan is more like an OD green. I find it easy to conceal (but then I'm a big guy).

Don't feel bad Jimmy. I have a 2002 Pro<->Tactical II that I've never seen anyone mention here, other than mine.

Phil, are you sure that's a Tactical Pro II? The Tactical line came with a magwell, front strap and under trigger guard checkering, a slotted trigger and a matt black finish. My EDC is a Tactical Ultra II. What you have there is a beautiful looking gun that says Special Edition on the slide.

That's just it. It isn't a Tactical Pro II. It's Pro Tactical II. That's why I used the arrows <-> to bring attention to a model that few know about. It was a special edition precursor to the Tactical Pro.

I started a thread on this gun about four years ago when I first became a KT Forum member. Marshall posted a bunch of info on it that I didn't know.
