A little Kimber Defensive practice

Have been carry my new Shield 45 as of late. The Kimber (,45) was no doubt feeling ignored. So I took it to the range yesterday and ran the 3 shot drill using Pro Carry....

3 shot drill (draw, 2 to the body, pause one to the head). At 7 yards using Point shooting. Not real thrilled about the two head shot flyers but otherwise, I got results I can live with. It was nice shooting the Kimber again, comes out quick from the galco, just a great gun. I still do some accuracy shooting using the sights, mainly to warm up myself and the gun(s) but spend most of my range time practicing defensive point shooting for the most part. Anyway, you be the judge.... I can take it plus you wont be able to see me sobbing anyway...

My indoor range won’t allow a holster draw, heck they won’t even allow a fast double tap. I’m envious. Good shooting.

I go to Shoot Smart. You have to get a private lane but with that, you can do whatever you like for the most part. The bench is a wheeled cart, which gets rolled to the back wall of the lane. You can blow off ammo as fast you like and of course draw from your holster. Which allows one to do some role playing and scenario shooting.... It's great!

I had a folding chair in there yesterday and did some practicing drawing my weapon and shooting from a seated position....

Wingnut - The range I use in Odessa/Tampa (off Hillsborough- FFA) lets me holster draw - just an FYI.
