Wink Gunbroker- Good to me tonight!

I've been following some penny auctions and bidding has been low due to the crappy gun market. I bought a New in Box Kimber Tactical Pro II .45 for $680.59. I was shocked I got it for that.

If I had the extra funds I would have got another that ended at the same time, a Kimber Ultra Sapphire 9mm New in the box that sold for an amazing $905.00. And a few hours before this, a LNIB Kimber Aegis Ultra went for $385.00.

I'm assuming someone will read this thread and I need a question answered. I found on Ebay a 6 pak of original Kimber 8 round .45 Tac Mags each with 2 bumpers for $60.00 and free shipping. Are Tac Mags good? Are the 8 rounders what I'll want for the Tactical Pro with a magwell? Are there mags that will work with it and have more rounds per mag without hanging down too far?

Sorry but this is my first ever .45 in a 1911 and my 1st ever with a magazine well. Thanks for any help and advise is always welcome.

Absolutely great deal -- just don't anyone decide that since "they never win the auctions" they should place five bids on guns at one time. Ask me how I know!!

(On the other hand, took my new tan and Sapphire Micro .380s and the Sapphire Pro Arland sold me over to introduce Kimber to my neighbor!! He was impressed. I'll be taking him and his 16-yr-old daughter (and maybe his wife) to the range soon!)

The Tac Mags have been good to me. They sit flush without the basepads attached. Ten bucks apiece shipped is great!

That's a very good price for 6 as long as they don't say "Compact" you will be good to go.
Compact only fits Ultra size.

I have aprox. 25 Kimber Kim-Pro Tac Mags and have never had a single problem with any of them that a good cleaning couldn't fix.

I too really like the KimPro mags. In 45 the 8 rounders will often not want to seat with a round still in the gun. So I use a standard 7 rounder for carry (they sit flush, very nice) and my back up mags are the 8 rounders which are awesome for reloading an empty weapon.
