Anybody else for a Pro 9?

I really like my Micro 9. But I shoot my Pro Carry much better. I think a 4 in barrel and a longer grip frame would be really, really nice in a 9mm without much compromise in concealment or weight. Keeping the thin, compact form of the Micro would get rid of all the extra metal in the bigger 1911.

Am I out in left field?

For myself, the grip is the hard part to conceal. As far as hitting inside the 9 ring I'm WAY better with a 4" barrel too...

Have you tried a Ultra in 9mm? More frame to grip but still concealable, 3" barrel not an issue IMO.
Low cost: Stainless Ultra Carry 9mm
High: Sapphire Ultra 9mm or .45acp if you prefer.

I agree with Sharp, the Micro is too small but the Ultra is a great size. I feel like I shot my .45 Ultra better than my full size FNS with the 4" barrel.

IMHO the Kimber ultra is about the best carry/conceal platform there is. I just bought one in 9mm, which is being looked at by my gunsmith, I haven’t fired it yet, but I’ve fired several hundred rounds through my Ultra in .45 and it’s always within my reach.

I have a Sig P938 which is very similar to the Micro 9 and it’s very nice to carry especially in the warmer months but it takes more practice than a Pro. I agree with 2sharp2 and everyone else about the Ultra. It’s a great carry gun with amazing accuracy and still easy to conceal. I also have a 9mm Dan Wesson Vigil Commander (Pro)that is a great shooter. I haven’t carried this gun yet but in the right holster I don’t see it being a problem. Until you holster one for yourself your not going to know if it’s right for you.

If you like the Ultra you’ll probably eventually get a Pro and if you like the Pro you’ll probably eventually get an Ultra. Be patient and go to a gun shop and buy the one that feels best to you.

Side Note

There is another Ultra I have been slowly adding to my CC rotation (CDP & RCP Ultra's). They are no longer in production, some are still available out there unless you find a used one a "New Old Stock" one will probably have a premium price tag. It is 45acp, 3" barrel, Ultra size except has full size round butt frame.

Super Carry Ultra Plus
I added Crimson Trace Green laser grips.

I can't for the life of me figure out why Kimber doesn't make a CCO size pistol (Commander slide/barrel on officers frame).

And while I'm at it....Kimber, why don't you make an officer's size (3.5 barrel) or a true commander size (4.25 barrel)? Inquiring minds want to know......

Kimber did make a CCO type model it was called a Compact-Officers frame with a 4 inch barrel-as far as the other sizes why when everyone else does-I prefer the 4 inch bull barrel without a bushing-never had a problem with any of mine.
