Replacing sights.

Hey guys
Just got my TruGlo sights for my Micro 9, I know on some pistols the sights should be removed a certain way. Either left to right or right to left, this is my first time doing this on a Kimber so is there a certain way to remove them or is either way ok. Thanks again for all your help.

remove from the left to the right. replace from the right to the left. Good luck, they can be tight!

Be careful on the TruGlos. They can be more delicate when installing...

I think you will encounter a spring under the rear sight thats part of the firing pin block. Im sure others will chime in.

Highly recommend the Wheeler Sight Tool. Warning it's a bit addicting, you'll be changing sights on everything.

There are some good videos out there on YouTube. Dawson Precision has some good information on their videos. Best advice is don’t rush the job, take your time and fit the sight properly. You can remove material but you can’t put it back.

I try to take them out the way they went in IF you can tell. When installing the new ones if you have calipers or a mic, mic both ends of the sight and one end is almost always just a little smaller than the other. That's the end I start in first.
