Magwell, which one?

I am looking at installing a magwell to my SIS Pro and would like to hear opinions as to which one would be a better one, fit and finish wise - Kimber or Smith & Alexander? Thanks

Both the Kimber and the Smith and Alexander are good products. The last Smith and Alexander I installed required a little fitting so I'd say the Kimber would probably be a better choice if you're looking to avoid that.

I recently installed a Kimber brand magwell on my ultra covert and was very pleased with fit and finish. Dropped right in very simple
Here's a few different angles hope this helps.

Tnx Chuck43 and Zoomybaby.....so Kimber it will be! Just to decide between the black and stainless finish since I have the matte finish and black/gray VZ grips

I have put over a dozen SAs on Kimbers without issue and prefer them. I have put Kimber one a few at request. I just this week end installed an Ed Brown on a raptor without issue but chose it only because the chai link was the closest to the tooling patter of the raptor.

Ok, been reading a lot on them online and most say that the quality and material of the SA is way better, except for some fitting issues. With that I'm kinda in the middle....need yo read more or hear from actual installation experiences.

Also, is phone purchase the only way to get one from SA? Any suggestions where I can get one at a lower price? Tnx

I ordered/installed an SA mainspring housing with magwell. The only way to purchase direct from SA is by phone.

I like the quality of the MSH, but it was arched and after shooting it a few times decided I didn't care for the arched MSH. I did have to file just a little so it would install easily. Not a big deal. If you need to fit one, just be patient and remember you can always take more off, but you can't out any back on.

If that's the one I purchased from you, it fit my Kimber perfectly.
