Kimber customer service

A few weeks ago, I bought a used Stainless Pro TLE/RL II. Turns out, it had malfunctions the first time I tried to fire it. The first round would fire, but the trigger wouldnít reset and pull backward for the second round until I dropped the magazine. I sent it to Kimber.

The gun was manufactured in 2007 and I bought is used (who knows what the last guy did to it) so, well outside their warranty. I just spoke to a rep by phone and was informed THEY FIXED IT FOR FREE ANYWAY!!!! Awesome!!

Itís being shipped back to me today or tomorrow with a new trigger, new extractor, new guide rod spring, polished feed ramp and one more thing Iíve forgotten at the moment. Iím sure Iíll see it all on the invoice when I get it back.

This is my second Kimber (bought a brand new Pro Carry II in 2006 that has been perfect since day one) and with customer service like that, it will certainly not be my last.

I did have them install (and paid for) Kimber Tactical Wedge tritium sights while they had it.

Great to hear.

I had a similar experience this year as the second owner of a 2012 gun.

0311B50, Great news for you but not a surprise to most of us, a few have experienced this kind of service from Kimber first hand and a lot of us have heard of warranty repairs for pistols way over one year old.

The only time this wont work is if during you phone call to customer service you spill your guts about being a "Bubbagunsmith" worked on the pistol yourself, any claims for service will be denied even on a 1 month old pistol.

I own three Kimbers bought them all new, two ULTRA CARRY II's, and one CUSTOM II Two Tone.

I once owned an ULTRA CARRY, sold it to purchase the U.C. II's wich are much lighter.

All .45 ACP's.

Also owned a Clackamas Target Rifle in .22LR.

Never had a lick of trouble out of my Kimbers, so I have never had to contact the Mother Ship for anything but replacement parts over the years.

Nice to know that they are a straight up company as far as customer support!
