Cool Shooters Choice or other Lube what is your preference?

I was reading everything that Kimber included with my gun. They recommend Shooters choice or any High tech lube with FP-10. I was wondering what you may be using to Lubricate your firearms.

These responses will be all over the map. I use BreakFree CLP because it is what I have been using for a long time and I have a good amount of it. Never had a problem with it.

Several here use Froglube with the same amount of success. The previously loved Stainless Ultra Raptor I bought from a sight member here had been Froglubed and I must say it felt very slick. I added some Breakfree to it and it functions perfectly.

I think it will just be a matter of what you like, no wrong answer.

Wink My 2 Cents Worth!!

Do the Froglube, man!!! It's a pretty good lubricant and preservative and it gives you pistol minty fresh breath, too!

My 2 cents.

Depends on the mood and what I pull out of my cleaning tub.

My lubricating arsenal contains Hoppe's No 9, Ballistol, and Tetra Gun Grease.

Tetra is only $6 delivered for Amazon Prime members so I gave it a shot and liked it.

Ballistol is a great cleaner / lubricator in my opinion.

Hoppe's No 9 - Tried and true.

I have a bottle of BreakFree CLP, but I have yet to use it. Saw some good opinions and ordered a bottle to try it out.

I clean mine with spray can of rem oil. Seems to be very easy on the finish of my guns. I have used some other spray cleaners that seemed to be a bit harsh. I will wipe it down good and oil everything with hoppes 9

Most of my gun lube consist of nothing but Rem oil. Granted I have others and use a little grease on my 1911 slide rails from time to time. But really any quality gun oil will do the trick, the quest for our dollars has led to a marketing flood gate with a new latest and greatest lube being released every six months.
My weapons all functioned great 25 years ago on good old fashion gun oil but nowadays I gotta use the newest slicker then snot product on the market. I don't think so.

Hoppe's #9, my grandfather, my father and I have been using it between us for over 100 years and I have their guns to prove it works. Don't tell Kimber but I've been using Brian Enos slide glide on the rails of my guns for the last 5 years and it's freaking awesome.
