Frame Finish

Was looking at an Ultra CDP. Hopefully I can attach a photo, but have you seen a frame with the finish peeling off rather than just wearing off? A closer look also seems to show potentially more peeling forward of the slide.

Kimb-o-leum.

Sometimes that's just the way it is.
Other times their finish is good.

I agree with Rusty, depends on the "Batch." Mostly good/decent some bad.

You'd think when you pay $1000 for a handgun with a KimPro finish they would at least throw in a can of Krylon touch up paint.

I know it happens but it really shouldn’t. I have had $200 pistols that didn’t peel.

Which makes me ask, what is the most durable finish?

Anyway to repair it? By the way, I purchased an ultra carry from Bish which was in great shape. In fact, it is probably my favorite to shoot. So, I thought I might find another. The one in the pic is an ultra cdp. I just figured for the price the finish should be better.

Thanks all for the replies.

Agreed. Too much coin for that gun for that kind of nonsense.
