It's a beautiful gun well selling gun, to become a collectible Kimber would have to stop making then and I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I agree with Chuck and will add IMO, the Stainless Raptor's are in the top 3 or 4 best looking pistols Kimber has ever produced. I think one of there biggest sellers (I have no hard proof) just guessing.
A select few claim the SIS (Of LAPD fame) models are collectable, a select few no longer in production models. Some claim the early (first) Clackamas marked 1911's are collectable but the truth is all of the Clackamas marked pistols were assembled in New York.

Agree. Or to make them so desirably different that some would pay more just to have a unique gun. Sort of what I did to my SS Pro.

I don't think any Kimber is "collectable". There are a few that I would consider highly desirable to a Kimber aficionado, like a Clackamas, but even those I would not call collectable.
