Advice and Info please

A Little less than a year ago, I asked advice from y'all in regards to a Shield .45, belated thank you for the great and helpful responses. I bought it, started carrying it and then without much thought started carrying my PC II on occasion which, in short order, turned into all the time. The Shield hasn't seen the light of day for months. I don't even take it to the Range anymore. Great gun.... for somebody else. All holster practice is now done with the PC II. It just works for me and I like it. So my question after the TMI intro is, what do y'all think of.....

The TLE Pro II as an EDC. I really want another 1911... cause... well you guys know why.... I really like the TLE....

The PC II will take on duty as the under pillow at night and air travel gun of choice.

I have an Ultra TLE II and it’s a great carry gun. A Pro should be just as good. The TLE has great features for a relatively inexpensive 1911.

I too have an Ultra TLE and it is a great carry gun and I agree that the Pro should be as well. I firmly believe that the TLE is the best bang for your buck in Kimbers lineup.

There you have it! You've answered your own question. You like the TLE, so that's reason enough to buy it (it would be for me).

Go ahead, you know you want to!

All Pro models the barrel is only 1 inch longer than all Ultra's so concealed carry should not present any different problems.

True, and remember that the Pro (Commander) models have the full size grip frame like a Kimber Custom, so it's a tad longer at the muzzle and the end of the grip/frame compared to the Ultra's.

FYI: Last evening for no specific reason, I weighed my Micro 9 and my usual carry Ultra CDP. The CDP was a full POUND heavier than the little Micro. Both pistols were fully loaded.

When we consider carrying a PDW all day, not only does size make a difference, but weight surely does.....at least it does for this old dude.

Yes sir Rick! And there lies the beauty of the Super Carry Ultra Plus, 3" barrel, Full size grip frame with a round butt, that keeps it from poking me in my side fat.

Dear Kimber,
if you ever offer a SS frame Micro 45 with a 3.3" barrel....please!, take my order for two.

Marshall....I don't post personal gun pictures on KT or any site, for any reason. Never have/never will. Taking IP risk is for those that choose to do so, I don't. If you have a problem with that, choose a orifice. End of subject.

Well Duh Rick .

Probably be end of Feb. Will try and unload the Shield and a couple others that sit in the safe. I can buy it without selling the others but doing it that way is cleaner...... according to SWMBO...

I have handled an Ultra... I have a thing about not having all 3 fingers on the grip solidly. I’m not a giant but at 6’3” and 250lbs, my paws are substantial.

I have no problem making the PC II disappear. The Galco open top sucks the Kimber up tight but still accessible. I have no worries about the TLE also disappearing. Hell Sharp, the side fat is just padding... right? I carry at about 2:30, wonky shoulder... hell who am I kidding, wonky almost everything now....played sports (flag football, fast pitch softball, adult baseball and basketball until my early 40’’s).... now have 2 titanium knees, wonky shoulder, wonky back and limited neck travel.... god bless the folks of Kentucky that make Bourbon! All good :-) I still get out and about... I’ll say uncle when I’m dead....
Tent Rocks NM last May... big weird trees.... cool....
