.22 conversion kit

Just recently purchased the .22 conversion kit and put it on my tactical pro frame. At the range using Winchester ammo; it would fire the first round but not the second. I tried some other ammo and it worked better but not the best.
Question; Anyone else have the conversion kit and what has proved to be the best?

I have had one for a couple of years now and haven't had any problems with it. Have you cleaned and lubed the new slide and are you using high velocity ammo?

I believe your Tactical Pro has a magwell If so that maybe the problem. The magazine on the 22 conversion is plastic and may not be going in as far as it should with the magwell. I had the same thing happen to me today with my Ultra Covert with a Magwell. It would shoot the first round only. Your magwell should be 2 piece , try and remove the bottom piece and see what happens. Please let us know.

Funny I hadn't shot mine for quite awhile till today. The fourth straight day at the range for me and my tendinitis is flaring up with all the handgun shooting I have been doing. So today it was all shotgun and the 22 kit on the Team Match for 500 rounds. I have never cleaned and it must have 3000 through it.

It stays pretty wet with a then oil (Brownells red). I run Federal bulk with no issue despite not be high velocity. But it does it like Winchester which is even lighter a load. Any thumb contact on the slide side can slow the slide with the low velocity stuff and cause a problem.

The kimber mag does go deep enough in the mag well guns to ensure good feeding despite locking in. I use the metal mags from my GSG/Sig 1911-22 and it runs great

If youFS is new work the slide a hundred times or so to lap the finish in.
