Grips for Stan Chen magwell - suggestions

Since this forum is so well organized when it comes to spending the money I don't have, I thought I'd abuse my wallet some more.
I just ordered a SC "Shooter Installed" magwell and now its time to drool over a nice set of grips. (Thanks JC45,2sharp2 & Kimsey for your magwell suggestions) The grips will be going on a stainless 6" target LS in .460 Rowland. Depending on what my mods were going to be to the heel/magwell, I was considering a Cerakote job on the frame only. Now that I ordered the SC magwell in SS, I think I'll keep it all stainless...for now. Show me your magwell grips. Thanks!

That can of worms is FULL just waiting for you to open it. It's a personal choice. G10, Wood, Exotic Wood (Burl & others), Mammoth Ivory, Elephant Ivory, Bone, on and on.

Ya, so many to choose from. I was more concerned with getting the correct ones for the SC magwell. Wanted to make sure they fit like they belonged: no over/under miss-match, no big gaps, good radius match, etc. I also wouldn't mind seeing what others got for their stainless models.

Hereís 2 sets of G10 and my latest Eclipse grips from AlumaGrip. They are a thin grip made out of aluminum. I like the look and they feel great in my hand. Iíve been looking for a wood set but havenít decided which ones yet. I wish Raasco grip was still in business.

Would love to show you magwell grip pics. A different magwell thread came up not long ago and I thought I had several pistols with magwells, turns out I only have three, two are factory and came on the pistol and one was added by previous owner.

The SIS (in the middle) has original grips which are not magwell cut.

Ya, I checked out alumagrips earlier today. Theres a few that are in serious consideration. I had a set of G10's on a colt and they were way too agressive. I could have gotten the set that missed the deburring station.

The grips on the Limited Edition look like they have the kind of fit im looking for. I guess i really wont know until they're on the pistol.

If you like wood grips Altamont and Fusion Firearms have a nice selection at a reasonable price.

I just sent an inquiry to Alumagrips. They have a "build a grip" section and list a half dozen magwell styles/manufacturers to choose from. Not sure which one is the closest to the SC "Shooter Installed". I think that SC model is a thin grip. Also asked SC if that model is designated as a thin grip. I'll post their answers.

Thanks, checked them both out - nice stuff. Just need to confirm with SC if that "shooter installed" is a thin grip. Might be.
