How can I tell when this was made and what specific model it is?

I can tell it is a Custom II but I can’t find any other examples that have the brown slide black frame and silver controls.

I thought maybe you all could help with the date and perhaps educate me on why I can’t find a similar example?

Thanks

John

And sorry for the pics, wasn’t planning on posting.

To find out date of manufacture you will have to call Kimber Customer Service and provide the serial number. It is Custom II sometimes also called Custom Two-Tone.

The exact model name is always stamped under the ejection port on the slide on all Kimber's. The "II" after any name means pistol has the Swartz safety, no II no Swartz safety.

Looks like someone has Cerakoted your frame and slide. A factory Custom II would have a Silver Frame and Black Slide.

Maybe trying to make it look like a Warrior or Warrior SOC in that model family of Kimber's.

Yeah, I guess with your Kimber inventory you've picked up a bit of useful information, you are the man.
