Earlier tonight I got an email from Buds Guns. Basically they have thousands of firearms and millions of rounds of ammo, website is running wide open 24/7. What they don't have is enough people to prepared for the volume of orders they are getting. They are working many extra hours filling orders. It said it is taking 4 or 5 more days than normal to ship stuff. Be patient.

Ya' know, you guys got me thinking--and when I 'think' I usually worry.

I had a friend come over and help me swing open the iron door on my reloading room. A little dust, no cobwebs.

I started to move the loaded cartridge boxes out of the way so I could check the amount of ammunition I had in stock. After about 45 minutes I ran out of room to stack the boxes.

I'm sorry to report I have no idea how much ammunition I have in stock. Whatever the count, the pile measures 6x4x5 feet.

Why didn't you guys warn me I was running out!

Oh, I never planned to do this. I've been a collector for decades, some stuff I sold and many things were replaced. In truth, it got away from me.

With all the stuff I squirreled away, I still rely on that little red folder. Heck, automatics have been permitted in my state, so what fun is that?

I have been looking for some .38 Special hollow points for a gal down the street. No luck locally.

Slanted, I have a box of 20 cartridges marked, "38 Special +P 125 Grain Starfire."

They are Elderado factory hollowpoints. Would that help? The tape on them is marked, "Gander Mountain."

Chico, thanks for the offer. I will see if I can source them locally in the next few days. She has a box of wadcutters that will keep her safe for now.

I, too, squirrel stuff away and lose track of it -- I knew I had some ammo in the trunk of my car, but I was surprised to find 490 rds. of 5.56 among the handgun ammo
