Hogue doesn't make a rubber finger groove grip for the round heel 1911 frames, but I found you can sand the corners off of their standard grip for a decent fit. I like this grip better than the stock panels for the woods/everyday carry that I plan for this gun.Screenshot_20200406-123546_Gallery_1586448691118.jpg

Never cared for the "look" compared to wood but you can't beat the grippyness they provide.
Looks like you did a good job blending the heel.

I am with you on the grip. I have put them on my Kimbers. Just don't have the grip strength I used to and they make all the difference in the world.

They contribute to a very secure, consistent grip, and are much better when hands are wet from rain or sweat. I have them on all of my carry handguns

I hear you, the older I get, the fewer people I have to share hobbies with. Good luck in your quest!

I still use the original Kimber rubber grips that came with my Ultra TLE. They aren’t good looking and they don’t match up to the magwell, but they feel great in my hands. If I could find them in a magwell cut would buy a set. I have several set of great looking grips for this gun but I keep going back to the ugly black rubber grips. I don’t care for the rubber finger groove grip look but I’m sure they work great and if they help you enjoy you range trips and they allow you to shoot more rounds then you should use them.
