If you had a $1000, what kimber would you buy?

I am not familiar with all the different models, but I am looking for specific suggestions in the 9 mm or .45. Thanks

Well, am I limited to $1,000? Because unless you find a good used deal most are over $1,000. I'll do it both ways.

Right at the $1,000 mark> Stainless Raptor Full Size

If I can go over $1,000 and get what I want> Warrior SOC TFS

As all have stated, $1,000 on a new Kimber will limit your choices and what you intend to use it for will also have a large bearing on what one you should be looking at.

I am thinking of carrying it and thinking about the 4 inch barrel in the .45. I am very familiar with the Solo carry SS, so either upgrading to a DC or CDP, maybe laser. I am more leaning towards the .45 and know lest about that line. The dollar limit is not a hard line, but a place to start.

Well I have the DC and although I've only put 100 trouble free rounds through it so far, I really like it as a pocket carry.
However if I were looking for conceal carry outside the pocket, I think one of the .45 Ultra Carries with the 4" barrel would be my preference.

I just bought a Tactical Ultra II .45 (MSRP $1317.00) on GunsAmerica, $949.00 for gun + $25.00 shipping + $25.00 FFL transfer = $999.00.

Oh well in that case. Any of the Pro model's will work great, the two Pro models I own are over the $1,000 range but both are great shooting pistols, Master Carry Pro .45 and Sapphire Pro 9mm.
Prices may vary but for a little over 1,000 Stainless Raptor Pro, Super Carry Pro, CDP Pro all .45acp.

I could carry a Pro (4 inch) if I had to but prefer the Ultra (3 inch) models, some versions without night sights can be found in the 800 to high 900 dollar mark.

You need to get on Kimber website and see what you like and want. There is no wrong choice, it is all about what you want.

From GunBroker I just bought a used Stainless Ultra Carry 9mm (MSRP $1,016), winning bid on gun was $719.00, shipping was $30.00 (which I thought was a little high but what can you do) $749.00 plus my FFL guy fee $20.00 which totals $769.00. I don't usually count the FFL fee or shipping cause you either have to pay that or sales tax, sometimes all three if bought in state. So moral to the story there are good deals if you shop around.

Just so nobody gets confused Ultra's are 3" barrel. The 4" are Pro.
