If you EDC, what do you carry and why?

Striker fired, hammer fired, doublestack, single stack, extra mags, back up gun, or maybe even a blade? How big of a gun is enough, how much ammo is enough?

Super Carry Ultra HD is what I carry. My favorite gun. I don't bother with an extra mag. But if I lived in the big city, it might be different.

Ultra Aegis II or Sig P938 (if I can get the Sig away from my wife). Occasionally Glock 19, yes I said it, a Glock. LOL

I usually only carry a knife at work. I don't carry a back up gun. Everything else is a yes. In the summer months I mostly carry an M&P Shield 9mm. I also use a Beretta PX Storm SC 9mm and an XDS-45 3.3". They are all very reliable and easy to conceal in summer clothing.

In the colder weather I carry my M&P-45 4",Beretta PX Storm SC,Sig P226 elite dark and a Walther PPQ 9mm. Longer clothing hides these guns better in the winter. I mostly carry the M&P-45. Yes,I mix it up a bit.

I usually carry one spare magazine. As far as,how big of a gun? That's all up to you. They all work and all sizes can be concealed. I believe in some states if a gun prints at all that's not concidered concealed .

You may ask, why I don't carry my Kimbers ?
My Kimber are best best guns and if I had to use one in a situation and the Police were going to confiscate my gun,I would prefer to loose one of the others. They are all reliable enough to carry and I trust all of them. None of these other brand guns have ever had any failures.

I have a decent amount of guns and I like to switch it up . I practice with all of them. This probably doesn't clear things up for you much but that's what I do.

At work, a Smith 638. Why, because it fits in my pocket, and I need to leave it n the car sometimes.

All other times I carry a Walther P99 Why? Because it's the most comfortable handgun I've ever shot; the grip feels like it was designed for my hand, the sights are perfect, the trigger is excellent, and it holds 19 rounds. I like the fact that it can be DA/SA or just SA. I like the fact that it has a decocker. I love everything about this gun.

In light of recent events; I've committed to always carrying a back up (same platform as primary) and at least 1 spare mag for the primary. Never leave home without good blade. P938, P238, CRKT (M16 14Z)
