Crimson Trace magazines

Will any standard seven round 1911 magazine work in a Crimson Trace?

I have some Colt Officer mags that fit but I have not been to the range to see if they work. I do not want to load them up if they will not work.

I also hate to buy more magazines.

Standard mags worked in GiGi's UC TLE with the CT grips...No issues at all...

Crimson trace is a laser grip that runs on batteries, I'm not understanding your question.

Crimson Trace is the brand name of the laser grip not your Kimber.
Is yours and Ultra? You need compact magazines to fit flush with the bottom. Colt magazines should work they do in mine. Pro and Full size Kimber's use full size magazines and they will work in a Ultra but stick out from the bottom about half and inch.

You can't use a compact or Ultra magazine in a Pro or Full size pistol.

We bought a Kimber with a 3.5 inch barrel. The plastic box it came in says Kimber Crimson Trace Carry. and nothing else other than the bar code mark.

It came with one mag. I need to know if a standard seven round 1911 magazine will work in the Kimber or does it use a dedicated Kimber magazine? The seven round mags that I use in my Officers model fit but I have not tried them at the range.

Also, the gun was bought new and the gunbroker ad described it just as a Kimber Crimson Trace.. I have taken it to the range once and shot a few rounds behind the house.

See my post above!! We need pics of your pistol, never heard of a Crimson Trace model Kimber. Grips are made by Crimson Trace company.

Should be a 3 inch barrel Ultra model. GunBroker ads are not always correct.

What does it say on the left side of the slide? That should be the model name.

That was my attempt at being funny on bourbon night.

You gun is a Crimson Carry II not a Crimson Trace, Crimson Trace is the laser grip on your gun and if your gun is an Ultra then 2sharp2 is correct about the barrel, it's a 3" not 3.5 and your Colt magazines will work in it.
