Show people how you wear your holsters and why.

A picture is worth a thousand words. I purchased a dozen holsters and several belts before I figured out what worked for me. It took me listening to people who knew the proper way before I found what I like. We all carry differently but we all want to be comfortable and still be able to deploy our weapon quickly. So please show us how you carry iwb, belt, shoe, lol any method. If you have something that works share it and please explain why.

This is my everyday rig. The belt is 1 3/4 inch And as Chuck said the belt is everything. If you think it doesn't matter you are mistaken. Get a quality belt before you even think of getting a holster. Be careful of the wider belt fitting some of your dress pants. I have a 1 1/2 inch belt for that. I have found that putting the holster on the buckle end of the belt to be a thousand times more secure. It's a tiny bit more trouble first putting in on, but we'll worth it. As you can see from the pictures gun is high and tight against my body when belt is buckled. With belt unhooked gun still stays in place. Notice that the belt get caught against the belt loop keeping gun in place without me holding it. Perfect for restroom stops. Even with pants and belt unhooked gun doesn't fall over and holster doesn't pull the belt out. I know their are people on here that have better ways, different ways, but there are others still try to find their way.

I will get back later with pics of how I carry since I'm still wearing my wife beater and fruit of the room drawers...

I promise that it's not like the banger who was looting the gas station during the Ferguson shootings....

I believe his gun is at the 2:00 O'Glock position ??

From looking at that picture I think I'm going to need a bigger backup gun.

Dude, buckle your belt before your britches fall down. We don't need that on the interweb.

No, pic but mine is at 4:00 OWB.

I use a kydex IWB holster with 1 1/4 inch belt, a bit too narrow. I will consider finding a bigger one later.
The video is of my Walther P99 practice. But my Kimber Ultra CDP 2 is worn the same way. The only difference is the material of the holster. For the 1911 it's a leather one with a strap crossed between the slide and the hammer.
Thailand is a tropical country. So I use an IWB one because wearing an OWB you may need a jacket over your shirt. Not a normal way people here wear and it may draw suspicion when do a concealed carry.
I use 2-inch-over-sized-than-my-waist pants to allow room for the holster. The pistol and the holster are between 4-5 o'clock position. And a loosely shirt, try not to show the print of the pistol. A fit T shirt is not an option.
I practice drawing with only one hand, the right hand. I prefer to spare my left hand and arm for a close range shooting, just in case. To push the bad guy away or to cover my face and throat from his fist or knife!

Very nice video Comanche, that looks like a great range I wish we had a range like that around here.

This is my carry for my Micro when not in the Desantis pocket holster. Usually carry my Ultra IWB in a Clinger Scorpion.
