Correction to Previous Range Report

I apologize for my previous "First Range Report" and using "clips" instead of magazine. I was still to pumped up from shooting my new Kimber I forgot the correct terminology haha.

I was teasing. People get way to worked up over terms. You're good!

I promise I didn't take it seriously, Islander. I just had to correct myself. I know better haha. You weren't the only one to remind me of the correct terminology. It's all good. I'm just glad I finally got that perfect piece to the range!!!

Being an older codger, I can understand where some may have mistakenly adapted the use of the term "clip".
At the time I was in the service the M1 rifle was in use and you would insert a clip into the M1 which would fly out after the rounds were expended and you would insert another "clip".
I was an automatic rifleman and carried a BAR which used " magazines" instead of "clips" as the M1 did and I fully understood the difference.
However most used the M1 with clips and the term "clip" was used by the uninformed for all types firearms as a result, or that's my belief at least.

I use stripper clips to load my AR magazines.

Yo emonsrud! I got corrected on here too and I really did not know the difference and was glad to learn the difference but not that glad. Is mag acceptable or must we continue with the three long syllables?

Oh, you meant "magazines." Now I'm embarrassed about my first conclusions.

When you said 'clips,' I thought you meant barrettes or hair scrunchies. It seemed so metrosexual, but then again, I live a three-iron slice away from Madison.

After all, we have a female mail-man who actually looks more male than our former male mail-man...

Now I'm really confused. Please don't try to explain. I'll only get more confused.
