Seeking Guidance

Wish to purchase a Kimber semi automatic 9m which fits comfortably in my hand (Sig P238 feels good), is concealable on my body, and is easily handled with one hand... all features within reach and easily activated, and also has a crimson trace. Any suggestions on which models might be suitable? I have not handled a weapon in 18 years! I am just beginning my search, and I am female.....

The Micro is the same size as the P238 and Kimber has recently come out with a 9mm version that is only slightly larger. I haven't fondled one, but my guess would be that it is equivalent to a P938. I personally like the Ultras. They are a little bit larger but are full featured 1911s, including the grip safety, which the Micro does not have. There are several Ultra models that come with Crimson Trace grips, and I imagine you could put them only any Ultra as an after market add on.

Sig P938 9mm; Sig P238 380
Have both and they work right out of the box. Marshall is watching me so I cannot give an opinion on the Solo. 😕

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois. The Ultra CDP II (LG), the Solo CDP (LG) and the Solo Crimson Carry are the only 9mm Crimson Trace guns available from Kimber right now. The Micro 9 Crimson Carry will be available in the spring.

Well... Let me help Cuca out... What he was just dying to tell you is that the Kimber Solo is also a 9mm in similar size to the Sig P938, and that he LOVES it like several of us around here do. (I may have exaggerated Cuca's affinity for the Solo just a little ). When the Solo works, it is a great weapon and a pleasure to own. It is more temperamental than some and requires more expensive ammo and careful attention to lube. If you buy one that has problems out of the gate, rest assured that Kimber will do there best to make it right (as they will with any Kimber you might choose).

However, got the wife a Micro Belair 380 for Christmas. Haven't shot it yet but it sure looks well built.

Sig P-938 or Sig P-238 .380(short nine). If you feel the need you can outfit them with a Crimson Trace.
