Who Carry's a wide selection of Bobtail grip panels. We have googled looking for them but haven't found anything satisfactory.
We don't need anything exotic.

Are you looking for bobtail or round heel grips? Both VZ grips and Raasco grips have them.

Bobbed these myself. They are Kimber grips on my Sig NMR. Pretty easy; don't be scared.

Chuck, we have not looked on the Raasco
Site. Will check it out.

We don't know the difference between bobtail or round heel grips.

One is a S&W 1911sc e series. It has pretty
Wood grips but they are thicker than we prefer. The other is a Kimber Super Carry Pro. Thought we would just change up to a different color or style.

Attached is a pic and you will note the two we are talking about. Are they bobtail or round heel?

(Ryan) of Sarge's Grips also has rounded 1911 grips or will make what you want. You might also check.

I'm not 100% sure about the S&W it looks like it's got a round heel, the Super Carry Pro is definitely a round heel (I carry the same gun). The two companies I mentioned make grips for your guns. if you feel the grips are too thick they make slim grips but you will need to change the bushings on the frame to a set of slim bushings with shorter grip screws.

Chuck, appreciate the help. We did find some grips that interest us.

Thanks all for site suggestions.

Shooter, you have great taste in pistolas. To me you have the most beautiful Kimber 1911 and the most beautiful S&W 1911. I bought some VZ grips for my SCP before I got my gun. I can't bring myself to change what's on there. Just tooooo beautiful, to me. What ever you do, show us some pics.

Will do. Yes, the S&W grips look really nice but want slimmer grips as these are not safe guns we carry & shoot everyone of them. The S&W is the newest with only 500 rds through it, the black one has over 3000 rds through it and the two Kimber's at the bottom have over 2000 rds through each.
