Dry fire

Is it safe to dry fire without using snap caps in the gun?

What gun are you talking about if it's a Kimber then you're OK.

Dry fire

I have one mag that when I dry fire my micro, the mag drops out. The mag is a brand new Kimber mag. Should I just use it for parts?

No, is it a standard or extended magazine? Does it ever fall out when you load it with rounds and shoot it at the range?

This is a standard 6 round mag. Sorry to say we still have snow here, I have yet to fire the micro.

Your Kimber will be OK if you dry fire it. Having said that I have snap caps and tend to use them in all my guns. Using snap caps in a Micro SAO gun is not as much fun as compared to a DA/SA gun like my HK P30S .

I have the most fun using my Laser Ammo system.

I am not sure what to say or advise about the wayward mag. But, I highly suggest you get a few Kimber 7 Rd mags. Not just for the extra round but for the better fit in your hand. I got three from the Kimber website.I have a total of five mags for my Micro.
