What is the wait time at Kimber on an RMA?

I sent a 6 month old (new) Micro to Kimber a couple weeks ago, and will be traveling for a couple of weeks, three weeks from now. I have to sign for the gun when they send it back to me, but wondering if they will send back during the time I'm away.

The .380 had numerous double feed jams in the course of 450 rounds of various FMJ brands through it, and the slide stop started to come out during one of the jams.

Anybody have any experience on wait time to receive back from Kimber?

Hard to predict. Depends on what they need to do and the volumes they are dealing with. If it were me I would call customer service, reference RMA, and speak with them about your situation. They may put a rush on yours or they may put a "do not ship" hold on the repaired gun until you call them.

I sent mine to Kimber on Dec 17, 2015 and got it back o/a Jan 7, 2016. I would say that wasn't bad, considering the holidays in between.

If they're not busy 2 - 3 weeks are possible but most time they quote 4 - 6 weeks.

I did as you said, and was told they would not ship during the interim I told.

I asked what the typical wait time is and the gal told me about 4 weeks.

I forgot to ask if they send an Email when they ship to alert you. Do you know by any chance if they do this service too, to aid in knowing what day it will arrive, giving you a head's up?

When I sent my gun in they didn't email me with a notice that it was shipping but UPS sent me an email with the day and approximate time it would be delivered.
