socom kind of a surprise!

I have only seen a picture of it so far. Say's it is a year old less than 200 rds. 99% condition. Heading to an ffl this evening to do the transfer.

It is a M1A Socom 16. I will update in 10 days after it gets out of solitary!

That's cool Tom. Congrats on the M1A. The Socom is nice but I been wanting the Loaded or National Match model.

Originally I was holding out trying to find just a standard or loaded model with walnut. Then I saw this one on Cal guns (thank you Hoffbrew). I watched a Hickok 45 video of him shooting the Socom 16 and I was very impressed.

The paper work is done!

Just got back a little while ago from Turner'(LGS) did the paper work.It is definitely in nice condition. Turners had one there of the exact model they want $1799.99+8% sales tax=$1943.00 and change. I picked this one up for $1300.00 He still had the original box and manual. There also is an official TM 9-1005-223-12 Department of the Army Technical Manual that was in the box It is the Operator and organizational Maintenance Manual for the 7.62 -MM Rifle M14 and Rifle Bipod M2
Headquarters,Department of the Army January 1963. It may be some interesting reading Love info on Guns and Rifles.

Wink Wow!!!

Nice toy, Tom!! I have always like the looks of the SOCOM. Sounds like you got a good deal on it, too.

Remember the pictures and the range report! We want to see and read about it!!

Have fun with it. Be safe!!
