It happened, Chuck!

Today in the third magazine it was like the safety set itself. I looked, it was slightly up like maybe l accidentally knocked it up a tad. I flipped it up and down one time and l rested my left thumb on top of the safety (I'm left handed) never had to do this before with any ambi gun and all was good till the sixth magazine. With my thumb on top of the safety and it all the way down the safety engaged. Really weird. Looks like my first Kimber is going back to the mothership. I was shooting it pretty good for me unsupported too. I'll post target later. Its time for my pedicure.

I had to send my CCP back twice for safety engaging while firing, without touching it. I recreated mine engaging the safety 10 to 12 times. 3 different shooters. Send it back brother.

Mine was also returned to Kimber for the same reason, safety engaging from the recoil of the gun. In my case if you looked at the thumb safety it looked like it was off, physically the lever would only move a fraction of an inch.

Im so happy with the way it shoots and looks. l am not disappointed at all. I know Kimber will make it right. Not like I'm going to put a hundred rounds a week on this gun. It's going to be my grandsons. I just wish l could take a pic of it that would do the finish justice. It's much prettier than the pics.
1st three magazines 7yrds unsupported.
2 more magazines at 10 yrds unsupported
1 more magazines at 15yrds unsupported my best target at those distances ever. I think shooting back to back days helped. I can't remember the last time that happened. Also shooting supported yesterday i think helped with muscle memory on the trigger. Heck who knows. I got lucky for me.
