Questionable Kimber finish...

I was looking at a Gun Broker ad for a Raptor tonight and looking at the photos I was curious about the finish. Take a look at #3, #6, #7, and #8 and see what you think. Finish looks pretty rough to me. Those of you that own Raptors, is this typical?

Jon, it states brand new and I'm thinking like the others that it's gun oil. The finishes on them I think is superb as I have one in 4inch the pro. I did notice that it's already got the rubber magazine extension already installed unless they come like that now. Beautiful Kimber though in all ways. Good luck if your bidding, you'll love it, John

I think it just needs to be wiped off. When I picked up my Diamond Ultra at the FFL the gun looked like it had marks on the slide but it wasn't, just needed a cleaning.
My SS Raptor 5" finish was flawless except there was a mark under the slide stop.

High Plains Gun Shop has the SS Raptor 5" for $1249.99 with free shipping.

This what happens when anything is not wiped down. Digital cameras pick up everything. Dust, dirt, smudges, etc.
probably just fine.

If you're interested in the gun call the seller and ask them about it. When I was looking for an Ultra Tactical I found one on Guns America that looked like sh!t but was low priced. It had been on there for weeks but nobody bid on it, the slide had all kinds of marks on it but the price was so good that I knew I could have it refinished and still come out smelling like a rose. I called the seller and found out the gun was NIB, her husband with his greasy hands smeared up the gun when he was photographing it and he didn't want to re-post new pictures. They were dealers and I ended up with a perfect looking gun for less money then I could have bought a used one for. The moral of the story is don't always believe what you see, pick up the phone and ask questions.

Seller says it is just packing oil. One of these days I will pull the trigger. Sure is a nice looking gun. I just don't know if it is worth the money over the stainless target.
