Hey Chuckles how about a status update on this forum.

How about a KT status update? Seems like the post are down and the topics are lacking in Kimber material. Are we growing or shrinking.
Just wondering.

Well... yeah... now that we've killed all the Solo threads.

We need some people going to the range, doing some Kimber upgrades and sharing with everyone. Without turning into a Solo Fest. Just turns people away.

Well, it's not like it was about a year ago, that's for sure. Everyone (mostly) was new to KT, Kimbers, and/or shooting. Lots to learn, friends to make, joking around. I guess we're all caught up or broke from pressing each other to buy guns and ammo. Since we can't do any internal replacement/upgrade without voiding the warranty, we've talked grips & sights to death.

Forums always go in cycles. Some will join for a short time, then they will fade away. Others who are more serious about their Kimbers will stick around a long time, even if they don't participate regularly. Short attention spans.

Doesn't this always happen--in any forum--as weather gets warmer?

Always. This will pick up like crazy as the election gets closer and people buy more guns.

Now you guys expect a "Forum Status Update", I hope you all remember that I don't get paid to do this.

According to our software the forum now has 6223 members so we've grown in numbers. On the downside of the 6223 registered members 4690 have never posted, I have no idea of why people go through the trouble of registering and never bother to post. The 1533 active members we do have are posting more then ever before.

The activity on the forum tends to slow down during the summer months. Kids are out of school, people are going on vacation or participating in outdoor activities like golf.

If you look at the "Online Users" shown on the "Home Page" you will see the number of members and guests on the forum at any given time. I watch the members number, when that number gets into the 30's this place is usually rocking. Overall I'd say we're in good shape.

Chuckles, do you have to be registered to look at pictures that people post? I cannot remember but it works like that on other forums, might explain the high registrants that never post. Lots of people like looking at Kimbers.
