This purchase is not my fault!

This purchase is Chuck's fault. Chuck has posted that these Kimber .22 conversions work real well. I saw this one listed on Armslist for $200.00 and decided to go ahead and get it. I have been wanting to go to the range so now I have even more reason to go. I will let you know what I think. This one is the Kimber Platinum Kit.https://www.kimbertalk.com/forums/att...443=1465537429

I know the feeling. I, too, listened to Chuck. I figured having a Kimber with a lower recoil level was just what I needed now.

So yesterday my new compact, silver .22LR conversion kit arrived, with four magazines and the necessary bumper pads. The problem is that I haven't been cleared to use any firearm yet.

...so I unwrapped it and got to "look" at it...

Nice find Tom, your kit looks like an older one, the kits today come in the same black plastic gun cases that Kimbers guns come in. Remember these kits work better with high velocity .22's.

I'm glad to hear you got your conversion kit Chico if nothing else you can clean and lube it in anticipation of hitting the range.

Is there any important differences between the older or newer models. Also I have read that high velocity ammo is best to use with these kits. Do you have a brand preference in the higher velocity .22 ammo?

From the looks of your kit it looks the same as mine. I like CCI mini mags but almost any .22's that say high velocity should work fine.
