Trying something different for ear protection.

Picked up two sets of Bose Acoustic Noise Canceling head phones. One in your ear, One over your ear. These powered on for the Noise cancelling feature . Flip the switch and blocks all the noise, with or without being plugged up for music. I am not talking about just blocking the sound by having something over or in your ears. You can put them on and still hear stuff until you turn the power on. Then all noise is gone. So now if you want music on you can turn it as high or low a volume as you wish and still have all the outside noise blocked. Gun, mower, kids, what ever.
These are basically two products in one. Noise cancelling and/or music. And they sound great. I will be trying them at my next range visit. Maybe playing a little CCR while shooting my Kimbers.

Let us know how they work.

I had some ear plugs custom fitted about 30 years ago. Still use them. Hearing protection is invaluable

I like my battery powered range headphones with volume controlled mic; you can hear people talk, have a conversation about how awesome your Kimber is shooting, but it blocks out the sudden loud gun shot blasts of inferior weaponry.

The in your ear ones have a rechargeable thing on them. Lithium Battery built in I believe. Over the ears 1 - AAA battery. The power is just for the noise cancelling not the music.

Sounds like that mighty work better than the old cigarette filters I have stuffed in my ears.
