Then the redhead took my knife...

As usual, I went to the cafe' this afternoon for coffee, and sat at my usual designated seat. After a few minutes, a young lady pushed her mother who was in a wheelchair next to my table and got her a beverage.

Hard to miss the daughter. Long red hair, an ample bosom, and just the right amount of lace to show off just about everything else. Ahhh, it's a biker thing...

As we drank, we began chatting, and it turns out that the woman used to go to my old church, and named off several of my old friends. The young woman was a small child then and remembers playing in the lower level.

During the exchange, I mentioned I was now retired, and had finished off my career as a polisher. Naturally, the redhead asked to see my knife, and I admonished, "Don't put your thumb on the edge." The girl nodded in approval.

Then the redhead took my knife, turned up the edge, and ran the blade down the entire length of her arm. I froze waiting for a shower of blood droplets, but all I saw was her arm shaved clean.

This was the knife she used. Nubatama stones until the scratch pattern was gone, three pastes on glass, and nanodiamond slurry on cloth. Yeah, it's a tad much for an EDC, but whoever thought someone would do public surgery in a coffee bar?

Still, it was kind of enticing to see a redhead handle steel like that...

Still there's always been something about redheads, and for some unknown reason I keep putting guns and knives in their hands.

(BTW, I kept the TOPS C.A.T. close to me or in my jacket pocket. No sense pushing my luck).

When I first started going out with my wife, she was a Clairol redhead. For some stupid reason, I've bought her 3 of her 5 handguns. Ya think I'd have learned by now!

Chico, is the blade that comes on those Ruger Knives a decent steel? I like the look of the blade it looks like it would make a handy clip handle knife.

...So your sayin' if anyone needed to "take you out" all they would need is either be or send a Hot Redhead female? And Chico would be toast?

It is handy. I thought it was a tad too big when I first opened the box, but it rides in my jeans pocket quite comfortably.

Now, the alloy is that 8Cr13MoV stainless. I kind of put that metal in the same category as AUS6 and 420. In other words, it works, it's affordable, it has enough chrome to ward off corrosion and it's fairly easy to sharpen.

If you're just cutting the usual stuff an EDC knife is for (boxes, envelopes, lunch) it will work very good. As a wilderness camping knife, I'd take along a stone for touch-ups.

Heck, weapons might not even be needed.

I dated a redheaded disco queen in the late 1970s. Between the mind games and breaking my heart, she almost finished the job by her attitude.

...still...
