Bought a new Bradford knife.

For months I've been saying that the TOPS C.U.T. 4.0 is the most lethal knife I've ever seen. I might have to walk that back a bit.

I saw a knife in blade magazine, and I had to have it. As you know I have a Bradford Guardian 3, and I wanted the mate. The problem is that there is not a distributer in my area, and Blue Ridge only carries a few models.

I called Brad, and asked him if he would sell me a Guardian 4, nimbus, saber grind in 3V. At this moment, 3V is about the toughest alloy made, it even outpaces CPM-M4, and I thought nothing would ever beat that!

BTW, the nimbus finish is like a black on black "tumbled" finish. I got the ergo handled model, and of course, it will not have to be sharpened or straightened when it arrives. Brad is a fanatic about quality.

He also tosses in a blade blank in with his knives so I can polish out the edge for him. For this Guardian 4, I'll buff the blank until my cuticles bleed...

Is it made from Valyarian steel? GoT reference if you don't get it.

Chico how would one know if it was 3V or not, just reasearch it before purchase or will the knife maker point that out in the AD

(Guys, this is the same knife in the latest issue of "Knife" magazine).

You can tell the alloy is 3V because it is stamped on the ricasso. Even if it wasn't, you just grab a piece of titanium and jam the knife through it.

My Guardian 3 is also made from 3V. I'm not sure the blade will ever go dull.

@Starvoni, I'm not sure just how 3V is made, but I have a theory what it is. When Hillary wears out a pair of calf braces, she sends them to Brad. Frankly, there is no other alloy I can think of that would hold up those chubby calves and allow her to actually walk...
