Lousy computer, nice knife.

This is an experiment that Chuck might have to delete later. My Computer is both split screen and grainy again. Usually I can restart it, but today it just didn't work.

I finished the Schrade SCHF15, and it's a scalpel. I took several pictures of it, but will only pull one over until we find if I can print off of a bad screen.

Chuck, if it fails, just delete the thread.

Chico, that’s a work of art my friend! Sorry to hear about your computer!

As Denny and John said the picture is perfect. I think what your computer needs is a .45 through the hard drive and processor, that should take care of all your problems.

I'm glad it worked. Oddly, there are times when I shut the computer off, and immediately re-start it. Many times it comes back clear as a bell.

As for the knife, I think I paid +/-20 bucks for it. I've had several of them, but clients want them, and my wife wants their money...

I've had both the clip-point model (which is easier to sharpen) and this tanto version. I like the tanto version as I can sharpen both angles to differing levels of polish. I have switched to that style as my main EDC despite the design being +800 years old.

I have polished a Barge for when basic jackknife work is required.

If I need a smaller version of the SCHF15, I use a TOPS C.A.T. in their tanto design.

BTW, I would peg the SCHF15 at 550,000 grit. It's keener aand more polished than a 500K job, but I don't think it breaks 600K. I did the "tickle the dragon" method to check out the edge, and it's spooky even without the slurry.

These might not be the best pictures, but they were the ones I took with the original. I'm posting them today because--oddly--the entire computer with a full clear screen popped up out of nowhere.

I keep getting a "cannot restore" message. Then the computer starts perfectly.

You posted in the "Chico's Computer Died" thread that the Geek got the computer running with a clear screen and no files lost. Is it acting up again?

Yeah, sometimes the computer comes on clear, most times grainy.

For now, getting my wife two crowns for some cracked molars is the more important issue. I can still use the computer, and like last night, it came up clear and complete.
