Charity Knife is now completed.

First of all, let me apologize for the time this project took. Yes, I had some repair issues, but seriously there were days I just couldn't polish.

Obviously the knife needs to be cleaned. Then I will go over the knife and look for minute scratches that might have slipped through the initial inspection.

But I must tell you, you do not want to be on the wrong end of this cutting tool. I made sure every edge had an "edge," if that makes sense.

And let's not forget the famous words of Rob Babcock, the best polisher of Japanese folded steel in this hemisphere, "What kind of a bozo puts a diamond edge on a 70 dollar knife?" And he said that looking eye to eye with Ken Schwartz as he diced a tequila lemon tossed up freehand with a yanagiba, not even glancing at the airborne fruit.

I hope this knife meets with your approval.

And every penny goes to our local "House of Hope," which is one of Jen's favorite charities.

(I have too little wallets in my jeans, one for quarters. When I get quarters, I give them to Jen on Friday. We call it "gambling debts" or just 'the vig.' Usually the B&N charities are in the autumn. I asked her if we could keep this going all year, and she agreed. We're going to take her picture and post it when the knife is shipped.)

I'm going to talk to Chuck. Probably set a time like a week or two weeks. Best bid before 11:59PM on the last day.

BTW, I will also provide "life sharp." Yeah, it's pretty, but it should work for a living.

Not a Knife Fan?

I have to admit I'm not a knife fan and really don't understand what their doing on the Kimber firearms forum........That is until I just returned from vacation with my wife, son and grandson.

We went to the Smoky Mountains and my grandson wanted to stop at a place called the Largest Knife Store in the World. Being a Grandpa, I drove miles out of my way to take him to this store. My God I never saw some many knives in my life and the more I saw the cooler they got.

Well looks like some of my cash will now be directed to the knife industry. They also have a great display of Sig Sauer products.
I bought a Sig. M400 rifle about a month ago so it will be awhile before I place a knife order.

Smoky Mountain Knife is almost in my back yard, well about 2 hours been there many times. Right behind the huge Knife store is a pretty cool maybe famous gun shop and range. BudsGunshop, nice store very nice indoor range.
